Myanmar Thaketa Project gets the FAC from project owner
On March 23, 2020, Myanmar Thaketa 100MW Gas-fired Combined Cycle Power Plant gets the FAC from project owner. SEPCOIII is considered to have completed all obligations in terms of EPC contract, which marks that the two-year warranty period is successfully completed, that two units are finally handed over to owner and that EPC contract is closed.
Myanmar Thaketa Project is the important project of the B&R and the China-Myanmar economic corridor. It is jointly invested by China and Myanmar. This project is also the livelihood project of the Myanmar government to solve the power gap and relieve the power supply pressure. The completion of the power station provides Rangoon and its surrounding areas with an average annual power supply of 0.762 billion kilowatt-hour, meeting the power needs of more than 42,000 households, and also marks an important step forward in the cooperation between Myanmar and China in the field of electricity.
